Sun-soaked, citrus-filled (if not in a Spritz) and if-not-pizza-definitely-pasta-overloaded way of living is the ultimate definition of la dolce vita that I personally experienced in the Amalfi Coast couple of weeks ago. I was on a quest to find out how much pasta, pizza, Spritz, sorbet, and some more Spritz I could consume in only 4 days, while giving myself constant pinches by the jaw-droppingly gorgeous views of the Amalfi Coast! Allora, here’s the Postcard From the Amalfi Coast – from where to eat in Amalfi to finding the most delicious granita while overlooking at the breathtaking views of Capri!
Postcard From is a travel series, where I share what to do, eat, and discover in the cities that I travelled around the world.
The one where I went to Miami, experienced second-hand spring break, discovered margaritas the size of my head, fell in love with Art Deco, and referenced Scarface & the song that goes… “Welcome to Miami, Bienvenido a Miami” a lot. In the midst of my “lets-rewatch-Scarface-and-shout-we-were-there!!!” emotional state, I put together a Miami travel guide that includes my favourite spots to see, eat, drink in the Sunshine State’s Magic City! Without further ado, Postcard From Miami.
In today’s post, I’m back for more Postcard from Japan – I’ll be sharing the second part of our big fat trip, from Hiroshima to Kyoto, that my boyfriend and I did back in November 2016. In this part, we’re throwing back to Hiroshima, the savage deers of Miyajima, the gorgeous castle in Himeji, and our first intense two days in Kyoto! Let’s dive right in…
Bringing you the very first post of the year- a throwback to November 2016- a Postcard from Japan, where my boyfriend and I were in Japan for two weeks, eating our weights in okonomiyaki, slurping our way through different cities one ramen bowl at a time, walking more than we’ve ever accumulated in our whole lives, admiring the Japanese history and architecture, embracing the madness… Well, I guess you got the picture, we did A LOT and I have so much to share with you! Without further ado, here’s the first part of Postcard from Japan series!
Postcard from Portugal: A trip full of colour, bacalhau, pastel de nata, vinho verde, azulejos, fado – these are the keywords of this trip, that made it to the list of the best trips of my life! I’m so excited to share my time in Portugal with you – I got so much love for this country, I don’t even know where to start! Spending time in Lisbon, Belem, Cascais and Sintra did nothing but goooooood to my soul! Portugal, you’re a piece of beauty, and I’ve madly fallen in love with you! Are you ready for some serious Portuguese eye-candy?
Breathtaking (and waistline extending)- that’s my Hong Kong experience in a nutshell. Jetting off to Hong Kong in such short notice was probably the closest that I’ll ever get to the “just pack your bags and go” mentality- no prior prepping for the trip- experiencing things as they come with a clean slate of mind. To say the least, Hong Kong was beyond anything I have ever imagined it to be! Get hyped and excite, because here is my Postcard From Hong Kong, aka the super dense city!
Vamos a la playa! Well, I meant to say Alicante, where I get to forget about those miserable cold winter days with the greenest palm trees in sight and the sweetest sangria in hand! Alicante has always been that perfect weekend getaway destination as it has it all; amazing food, all year around great weather, PALM TREES, and beaches! When you get a “fair” share of dreary winter days, a weekend escape to palm trees and sun is simply the golden rule of “How To Survive: Belgian Winter 101”!
You got mail, well, a postcard and it’s all the way from Rome! January was the month I did quite a bit of travelling and on this part of “Postcard from…” I’m sharing my full day in Rome! I walked a lot (not putting this lightly), ate a lot (food coma moments were real), so basically did things like the saying goes… “When in Rome you do as the Romans do!” Come along, we only got one heck of an adventurous day in Rome…
Each time I leave Paris, I think to myself that I should visit more often… but somehow long intervals between Paris and life happen; it’s hard to believe that last time I was there was nearly 3 years ago and it felt just like I have never left the moment I set my foot in… beautiful, hectic, gorgeous and cool as always! Paris, I have (re)fallen in love with you, baby! Sending you a postcard from Paris, talking about what I was up to during my short but sweet visit…
