Summer Knits & Autumnal Florals

Summer-Knits-Autumnal-Florals
Florals? For autumn? Groundbreaking! I knoooooow – it’s not officially autumn and there’s absolutely no reason to bring the summer peeps down (and I am one of them). But my current mood and this trés strange weather is so not about summer and not quite autumnal either – it is transitional, hence this calls for mixing summer knits with autumnal florals!

If I’m not pinning (I’m on Pinterest all.the.time) whatever tickles my summery-fancy, then I’m definitely on the look out for all things autumnal. The current state of my Pinterest boards are all over the place – from obsessively pinning trench coats to getting all warm and fuzzy with the sight of a white linen dress. I’m neither of them, I’m in between – transitioning…. I’m headed to Istanbul in less than two weeks – and my weather app is telling me it’s 30-something degrees there. So then I’m not so enthusiastic about trench coats and corduroy, but hello cute little dresses and the sandals to go with them. So this outfit basically reflects all of that – me dipping my toes in autumnal textures + patterns while keeping things on the breezy side.

Speaking of breezy, this skirt is definitely that! With the ever so slight Angelina-Jolie’s-right-leg vibes, this skirt is all about sass – really, 80% of this shoot was me doing some very leggy dance moves that nobody is ready to see. Moving from that leg action to the florals. I’m feeling florals the coming season – not so crazy about the vintage florals (some do give straight curtain vibes) – I’m here for this very kind.

One thing for sure and that is my still ongoing obsession with red – and I guess consistently wearing it does show. This perfect summer knit tank is relatively a new addition and already made a few cameo appearances earlier. It’s perfect for those this-outfit-would-be-great-with-a-white-tee-BUT-even-better-with-a-red-knit-tank-top days!

Another ongoing obsession of mine is surely statement earrings and this very pair is available again – yay! I’ve been rotating between these and the hoop ones for the longest, and now I’m definitely on the hunt for some more – a girl can’t have enough statement (if I say statement one more time…) earrings, just nope!

What is your current style mood? Are you on board with my red obsession? Aside from that I’m definitely feeling shearling, fur and checked-anything… Eek! Just talking about these now makes me all happy inside!

    Absolutely love this outfit!
The skirt looks amazing. Loving the floral pattern and how you styled it with the leatherjacket and red knit top.
    So gorgeous.
