The polka dot top that has it all: playful sleeves, low-key frills, button-down, tie-front detail – check, check, check and check!
I was in Spain the last week for some much needed sun, sea, food action. Literally all I did was enjoying the sweet summer vibes with my boyfriend – and managed to squeeze in some blog work, muchas gracias, boyfriend!❤︎ It was absolutely the best! I did some major catching up with palm trees, we did a cheeky lil’ trip to Elche (more on that next week), ate A LOT – seriously, it was a lot but so yummy, so yeah go figure – and some quality beach time, yes! Feeling fabulous, recharged and inspired – now back home, sadly it’s far from the wonderful Spanish summer, but oh well, don’t mind me some coolin’ down (it just me trying cope with this non-summer summer).
Speaking of Spain, this top was more than apt for the trip… I don’t know why but it’s giving me all kinds of flamenco feels, and I’m loving it! It’s just straight-up cute with the polka dots and that tie-front detail – I live! I feel like polka dot was coming back into the scene, slowly but surely – gingham has already taken the back seat, and I started seeing more and more polka dot tops, dresses… you name it, everywhere!
Moving on from the polka dot top, I’m going to talk about something that surely you’ve noticed it, too – the statement earrings! If you go back through my earlier style posts (here, here, here), you’ll see that I’ve been obsessing over them quite some time already. Mango has been killing it with its affordable + drool-worthy earrings, add Parfois to that list as well – they’re doing wonderful earrings that will up your earring game! I picked this fire pair when I was in Spain, and rocking them ever since!
Lastly, it’s this old-school / granny cool bag trend that’s been taking over Instagram! I was on the hunt for one since last summer but they were difficult to spot, compared to now. I’ve seen some that goes up € 60 – I just CANNOT! This one cost me only 5 euros, so naturally, I bought a few lol! I’ve been getting so many questions on it, so I thought I’d hook you up with a link to its source!
When I wasn’t stuffing my face with food + Fanta limón, I was busy shooting on film… I know I still have catching up to do, and devastated to find out some films are just over exposed, but hey that’s shooting on film for ya! Can’t wait to develop the films that I shot in Alicante and Elche – be prepared for so.many.friggin’.palm.tree.photos.
I want sunshine, less grim and less rain – that all I want for the rest of the summer… If not, I’m moving on from it, seriously… I just did my first winter purchase *shock horror*!
