Month on 35mm Film — March

Month On 35mm Film- March - Miami
Slowly but surely catching up with all my (months old) film rolls. Here’s Month on 35mm film – March (but technically also April) and what went down during!

Month On 35mm Film- March

I feel like (and probably I am) I start each Month on 35mm film post with explaining this insane delay – and here’s goes another. So this edition is technically March/April combined, and sadly we’ll be missing May (I shot an entire roll in Italy and it came out either overexposed or all black – my heart is still broken about this) but I spent June/July doing my darnest best to finish every single half-shot rolls. Still waiting on those rolls – seriously I need a faster film processing place, ugh!

After this mini explanation/vant, back to month on film! So what did I do in March (and technically April, too)? Well, as you can see the highlight of the month was the Miami trip and two random shots from April haha! In hindsight I’m thinking I could have shot more of Miami but probably that was because I was walking around 2 cameras + the film the whole time. But if you wanna see in detail what I did in Miami, you can have a peek at here.

The first photo is downtown Miami from taken during the boat trip we did – I’m particularly obsessed with this shot as the sun hits the water so perfectly and creating this very old-school cinematic scene (in my mind), don’t you think?

The photo of the South Beach beach automatically makes me sing Will Smith’s Miami (or Sisqo’s Thong Song, yes, I am that old)! So happy to cross out this amazing beach from my bucket list and bearing to go in the COLD ocean for swim – 10/10 would do it again!

Besides South Beach, Wynwood and Little Havana were my favourite neighbourhoods, so we did spend quite some time here. Tower Theater is an iconic landmark in Little Havana, and Wynwood is well… one big living art project! You can clearly see that I looooved it here and couldn’t help all those colourful wall arts – including some Instagram famous walls as well, can you spot them?

Back in South Beach again – me and the ginormous mojito that is ever existed on the face of earth! I mean, what is that? Why is it so big? My boyfriend took this photo – and i managed to look straight as I was legit tearing up by its ridiculous portions – the proof that we had a great start to what’s to be an a-mazing trip!

As I mentioned earlier, the last two random snaps in April from back home, if not at the beach eating ramen (and carefully removing coriander from it). Speaking of ramen, a little off topic but I cannot wait to be going back to Japan in LESS THAN TWO MONTH (kinda freaking out with overjoy) and have the most delicious ramens that are waiting for me – hai!

Talking about summer-y trips and going back in time feeling like there’s a whooooole summer ahead (how naive I was) and now we’re so close to autumn already – crazy (well, not that’s how seasons work, Elif) – where did the summer go? We didn’t even get a decent one to begin with! Oh well, I’m not too mad (a little but not too mad) because Japan trip is very near, I’m heading back to Istanbul in couple of weeks time and so much more to come – exciting times!
