January on 35mm film – kicking off the year in snowy Prague, then heading to Paris for some drool-worthy ramen and then some Belgian vibes in between! Please bare with me, while I’m catching up on all these winter memories in the middle of summer!
Didn’t realise January was this hectic until I got these prints… then forgot about them, and now back at it! I’m not the happiest when it comes to posting content from month ago… but then again, as long as I feel good about the quality of it, does it really matter how “fresh” it is? Leaving you with this food for thought and moving on what went down in January.
My boyfriend and I decided to celebrate the new year in Prague, Czech Republic. So the month starts of me being in incredibly snowy Prague. I shot those on our last day, which happen to be the snowiest day while we were there… you can even see the massive snow flakes, I was oh-so happy! Beautiful city looks even more beautiful when it’s entirely covered with a snow blanket – amazing memories… just thinking about that day makes my heart all kinds of warm and fuzzy!
Next up, we have Paris… From my strolls around the Quatre-Septembre and Pyramides – basically the area where you can eat Japanese for days… without falling short on the idea of what to eat! So of course I spent a lot of time here, trying out so many restaurants, naturally… The Ippudo that I go/went is however not in this area but close by the Odeon stop. Anyway, amazing ramen, happy vibes, happy Elif… I miss Japan, crave ramen almost daily… so maybe I need a trip to Paris or even better take myself back to Japan… wait, it IS happening in October, y’all!
Last but not least, Belgium… my adopted home! Basically my favourite cities mashed into one film roll.. Post-Paris vibes in Brussels, Asian food shopping (probably eating too, but not pictured) in Antwerp – seriously there’s this Asian supermarket in Chinatown and it is the best! And then it is Ghent, my bae, the home to my glorious student day memories! By the looks of it, I’m freezing my bum off… while appreciating the beauty of the city!
