December 29th, 2016
Party like it’s twothousandpantsuit! Walking into 2017 like… I got a statement to make! Glitter, gold, silver, fur, and power pantsuit; the fail-proof formula to get 2017 start off right and ditch the year that got us all wrecked in style!
Super, mega, crazy excited about 2017 and by saying this, I’m probably I’m speaking for everyone- minding you that 2016 doesn’t have the best of the reputations out there! A fresh start, new goals, exciting plans… and just no more weird 2016 vibes anymore-PAR-TAY!
Okay, I’m bashing 2016 here, but personally speaking it wasn’t thaaaat bad! However, there were moments that majorly sucked; like injuring my knee and being immobilised straight 3 months because of that, so many heartbreaking news from everywhere around the world, especially from back home, and losing David Bowie, Alan Rickman, Prince, George Michael, Carrie Fisher to name only a few! BUT, 2016 was also the year of amazing work opportunities, new friends, going fulltime #girlboss, SO MANY TRAVELS- 12 countries to be exact… and a year of having family & friends around safe & sound!
Before I get super emosh here, let’s talk about FASH-UN, shall we?I mentioned that 2016 was full of travels- and I aim to take that to the next level 2017- and here I am again, off to Prague to wrap up the year! Prague, however, doesn’t bring out the most tropical vibes in December, so this calls for a major cold-proof party outfit. I have already tested this outfit in -1 degrees out shooting, so when I say cold-proof I really mean it!
This long-line, fluffy, faux fur goodness always does the job for me; gives comfort and warmth while serving major diva looks- what else do you need on a New Year’s Eve party? I was on the hunt for a tuxedo/pantsuit to invest in for the longest, and when I FINALLY came across this one I immediately knew it was THE ONE! The jacket fits like a glow and feels like an absolute dream with its super soft satin goodness. The same goes out for the trousers, which can be a little tricky, but these ones hit the spot!
And the real star of the show are these craziest boots that I’ve ever own… the glitter sock boots! I had been eyeing on everything-glitter, and created a GLITTER moodboard for NYE, ugh, I’m just obsessed with glitter so much! I know they’re not everyone’s cup of tea but it’s New Year’s Eve- you gotta go all out!
So yes, I’m really excited about 2017, really excited about the last trip of 2016, and really excited about… well, everything! I wish you all a happy, healthy, peaceful, successful, filled-with-laughter New Year! May 2017 be our year (really this time though, okay?)
Tell me, what are your plans for NYE? Will you be going for the classic skirt/dress look or opting for something a la tomboy-meets-glam like myself?
