By the looks of it, I can’t get enough wear out of midi skirts this summer. In today’s post, I’m styling the lace midi skirt that is more on the elegant side (than usual) of things, yet still versatile. Versatile is the keyword here; I love pieces that I can style in different ways- be it dressing them down or up. In case you haven’t realised on That’s A Leaf, I’m hugely fond of being comfortable, which is a case that mostly provided by my trainers. For that reason alone, I love the look and the comfort of skirts that are styled with casual pieces. Here is how I’m styling the lace midi skirt – aka channeling my girly side with a full skirt.
Denim shirt : Zara
Midi Skirt : Zara (similar here, here & here )
Bag : Céline
Plimsolls : Topshop
Sunglasses : Dior
Can we talk about the gorgeous lace detailing on this skirt? I love the laser cut lace details which are exactly what I fell for the first time I saw it. However because of the very same details, it makes quite the statement piece, which is what I like to keep it as the star of the show. Thus, I went for something casual that is this light-weight denim shirt. Shall we also talk about the obvious that is the bag of my dreams? I have been a long time Céline
fan, and was on the hunt for the belt bag
. After the longest pursuit ever, I am so happy that I finally managed to find it in Istanbul! While out and about, I usually go for a bag that is smaller than the one I am wearing here, but as a blogger in city, you never know when you will get the perfect chance to snap some photos. In this case, something (quite) roomy enough to house all your photo gadgets is your BFF. And lastly, no surprises there that I of course had to go for these super comfy pair of black plimsolls.
What have you been enjoying wearing this summer? You know mine already, midi skirts FTW!
