When the summer hits hard, you gotta keep things cool. Summer in Spain is not a joke, thus the flowy clothes to the rescue! Here is how I styled this cute little crop check top during my last visit to Barcelona with the hopes to survive the Spanish sun- beware though, I am having a serious “sun face”!

I like fuss-free anything, including my summer outfits. Anything that is light-weight and flowy are always what I have in mind to battle  the heat and humidity. During my stay in Barcelona last month (which was only a day-lol) I could only think of one thing: “there will be sweat”, and to avoid this harsh truth about summer, I picked this cute crop check top that is just perfect to keep things cool in the city while wandering around and still keeping it comfortable. Even though I am not the biggest skirt wearer in general, during summer I can’t just put my head around wearing jeans- it’s just torture with a capital t. This pleated skirt has to be one of my most versatile wardrobe piece ever; the shape and the colour just go with anything. I also recently talked about my recent obsession, that is these ankle tie sandals from Topshop. They are incredibly comfortable; I basically wore these during this trip and they didn’t disappoint me even a bit- best purchase ever!

Looking back now made me think that it would be quite sensible to wear a pair of shades during this trip, but I just don’t like wearing them as much as I love buying them (weird, I know).

What do you think of this one? Also tell me, what does your the summer outfit look like?
