Whether you’ll be celebrating Valentine’s Day or Galentine’s Day, no matter what your current relationship status is, it’s surely fun to get dolled up for the day.
I am not so crazy about the Valentine’s Day but I am always down for celebrating love for one another any day of the year, just not feeling the craze for the moment. Nevertheless I jumped on the idea of creating a makeup look especially for the day. Or it was just an excuse to play with some new additions to my makeup collection.

– Base –
First I applied The Body Shop Radiant Highlighter all over my face to achieve the fresh and glowy looking skin as a base. Following, I applied the L’oreal True Match Foundation, which I absolutely love, love, love! For the eyes, I first use the Bobbi Brown Corrector to even out under eye area, and then apply
the Maybelline Age Rewind Concealer. Done with the base, on to the next step…
– Eyes –
I wanted to create a gradient looking pinkish/bronze-y makeup that is easy to combine with bold lips. Using the Urban Decay Naked Eye Shadow Palette, I applied “Virgin” all over the lid and then followed it with “Side Car” by concentrating on the inner corner. As I was moving towards the outer corner, I first applied the “Sin” more on the centre, then the “Toasted”. Lastly I used the “Hustle” to give some dimension by applying it to the very outer corner and also to the lower lash line to create consistency. Next, I used the Maybelline Master Precise Liquid Eyeliner to on accentuate the lash line and create a “fuller look”. As a final step, I completed the look with the Lancome Hypnose Mascara. I also added two pieces of separate lashes to again achieve “fuller look”, first ever and I must say that I really liked it- minus the struggle to put them in though.
– Cheeks –
Can I just say how much I’m in love with the Charlotte Tilbury’s Filmstar Bronze & Glow. Okay, I just did, so now I can move on… I just let this kit to do the all the job basically; applied the shading colour to the hollows of cheeks and the temples and blend, blend, blend… Also, just a dab of the Mac Blush in Peaches to give a subtle hint of colour. On top of all, I applied the highlighter on top of the cheek bones
and down the centre of nose. Et voila!
– Lips –
Something matte and red is the card that I’d play for any special occasion. For that, I applied the Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet Lipstick in Grand Cru.
What your plans for the day? Are you going with the valentine or the galentine?
I will be opting for the Galentine’s Day accompanied with pizza +couch +Netflix as the boyfriend is away for the weekend- boo!
