Luxe Beauty Haul

new-in-beauty, luxe-beauty-haul, glamglow-thirstymud-review, clinique-take-the-day-off-review, ysl-touche-eclat-foundation, -charlotte-tilbury-filmstar-bronze-glow-kit,

I haven’t done a beauty haul in a while and I think now it’s a good time to do so, as I collected quite a bit of luxe beauty to skincare products.

haul2Don’t know about you but, I personally think that a good makeup lies in having a good skin. Every now
and again, I am excited to find a skincare product that will finally give me the relief that I am desperately looking for; to combat the dryness around my T-zone.

My current skincare routine does the job and I am happy with the results that I am getting. However, there are still times that my skin wants that extra “something-something”- there it is my constant attempt to find THE ONE. I managed to take the plunge to give the GlamGlow Thirstymud Hydrating Treatment a try-
one of the most hyped skincare products in the blogging community. I can’t really report much as I haven’t used it enough, but I can say that it seems like a product that might be a cult step in my routine as I really enjoyed the during/after feeling.

Next up is this complete out-of-my-comfort-zone product that I was hesitating try for a good time-
The Clinique Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm. The reason why I was hesitating was mainly because I am one of those people “if it doesn’t foam, the makeup can’t be gone!” and also wasn’t really convinced by the idea of cleansing my eye-makeup with a balm (sensitive skin problems). Up until I came across the recommendation of Lisa Eldridge , and it was a game changer. The day I purchased the balm, I couldn’t wait any longer to give it a whirl… And bam! To say the least, I am not going back to foaming cleansers.

I simply adore Charlotte Tilbury and I am in constant awe by the creativity and the beauty of her makeup line. Beside the fact that I want to try literally everything from her line, I just wanted to start off with a  staple product. The Filmstar Bronze & Glow is everything you heard and read, if not less, because everyone that loves makeup lover should definitely try this. I know it is not the cheapest but it is absolutely worth it. The moment I put my hands in this beauty, I spent a good amount of time just staring and appreciating the utter gorgeousness it (crazy-makeup-lady alert).

I like changing my base every now and then, even though I am currently obsessed with the L’Oreal True Match Foundation. The YSL Le Teint Touche Eclat was on my list for the longest, and it was about the time that I finally tick it off of my list. If you like dewy finish with a sheer to light coverage, you will like this one. I haven’t worn it enough to report thoroughly, but so far I just love it so much and how it makes my skin glow more than ever.

What have you purchased recently? Have you tried any of these products? Or would you ever consider trying them?

I am 100% obsessed with the GLAMGLOW Thirstymud. It’s hands-down my favorite skincare product. Check out my January favorites to see how I use it! https://sprinkleofpretty.wordpress.com/2015/02/16/january-favorites-a-little-late/
I’m really interested in the Clinique Cleansing Balm! I never use foaming cleansers because my skin dries out very easily, so this seems like something that would be right up my ally!
    Loved your post!
    xo, Sheryl

    • Thank you Sherly! I enjoy using the GlamGlow Thirstymud so far and it smells so amazing! In that case you should definitely give it a whirl to the Clnique cleansing balm, it does wonderful job at clearing all the makeup and doesn’t rip the skin off.

  • Lys

The Touche Eclat foundation is SO good. It’s all I’ve used through autumn and winter and despite it being so expensive I am already considering buying a second bottle. I’m looking forward to reading how you’ll like it in a few weeks!

    • It indeed is expensive but you see totally why, and I think it is totally worth it! I am already addicted to the glowing finish that it has! I will be definitely writing a review on this, requires certain amount of raving for its amazing quality haha!

  • CT Filmstar Bronze & Glow is a must have! It’s been my favorite bronzer/highlighter since I got it.

    • Mine too! Everything about it is just beyond gorgeous! Cant wait to try other CT products. Have you tried anything else from her line? If so, would like to hear your suggestions. 🙂

      • Oh I’m a big fan of her makeup line so I’ve tried a lot 🙂 Her kiss lipsticks are really nice, she has pretty nice nude shades, blushes also nice and I just ordered her foundation so we’ll see how that goes 🙂

        • Super thanks for the recommendations, good to know but bad for the bank haha! Will definitely consider these next time I am feeling weak so that I can make that huge order from CT! lol

I absolutely love the Clinique cleansing balm, it does what is says on the tin! Makeup be gone. I heard recently ( a Space Nk employee) that YSL foundations contain lightening agents – does anyone know anything about this as it has put me off trying any? Also, light coverage – would it work for someone with a bit of acne scarring and the occasional spot or would I need something heavier?

    • I haven’t heard anything about that regarding YSL foundation except only good things, I will certainly look into that if it is actually true, because it does sound a bit off putting indeed. As it provides sheer to light coverage, I wouldn’t go for this with covering intentions but then again it depends how much coverage you need. I do as well occasional spots, but I think if you cover them with a concealer and this on top it should be fine, unless they are seriously visible I would go for something stronger. Hope I could clear this out for you. 🙂

I really want to try out the touche éclat foundation, I have heard good things about it!

    • Go for it, it is absolutely amazing! You will love it! 🙂

Funnily enough, I tried the original version of the Glamgow mask (the black pot) and it didn’t wow me at all. This one might be better, though.

Rebecca (From Roses) has me swooning over YSL Touche Eclat for a while now, need it! Also need the Clinique balm. And all of Charlotte Tilbury’s makeup line. ALL. OF. IT.

    • i have read quite a lot reviews on both and yeah, I wasn’t convinced on the mask as I was also looking for something more like intensely hydrating qualities. And this one does it, and oh my god, I finally figured it out… It smells exactly like play dough clay haha! I am with you: I need all of the CT makeup bits, I mean ALL OF THEM!

  • Awesome picks! I own the Charlotte Tilbury bronze&glow + Clinique balm myself and they’re indeed good stuff! I need to give the YSL foundation a go though.. sounds like a great foundation for days I don’t feel like wearing a heavier base!

    • Thank you Laura! 🙂 Oh that’s mostly definitely the kind of foundation it is- looking effortlessly glowy and it doesn’t feel like wearing foundation at all- totally worth the splurge!
