I went missing during the weekend and I am deeply sorry about that! Felt like I neglected #Blogmas, but real life obligations kicked in disguise of a Christmas shopping list that had to be done over the weekend. But I am back with a long overdue post- gold and glam party makeup look for you folks.
This is the craziest that I will go with my makeup look this party season. I always stick to the “bold lips-bare eyes” as a rule of thumb. But since it is a special occasion, you can spot the subtle gold and shimmery eye makeup here. Base
L’Oreal True Match Foundation mixed with The Body Shop Radiant Highlighter is the easiest step to get a silky, glowy and radiant looking face. For concealing, I started with Bobbi Brown Corrector and followed it with tiny bit of Maybelline Instant Age Rewind concealer to bring some highlight to the under eye area.
As a base colour, I used a mix of Malloy (white) and Lombardi (beige) on the The balm – Meet Matt(e) Nude palette. By focusing on the inner corner of the eyes and around the eyes, I used Mac pigment in Vanilla. I applied this pigment wet; just a drop of water and tiny bit of the pigment does the trick. Wet pigment on the eyes looks more shiny and opaque. To give little bit of colour, I used The Body Shop Colour Crush Eye Shadow in Gorgeous Gold on the outer corner of the eyes. Lastly, used a black eyeliner to give some dimension to the eyes by only focusing on the outer corners and smudged it a little, and topped it with the L’Oreal False Lash Telescopic Mascara. Special occasion also calls for defined eyebrows. For that, I used the Essence Eyebrow Kit.
Used The Body Shop Honey Bronze Bronzing Powder as the contouring colour and topped it with a hint of Mac Peaches blush. As a highlighter I used The balm- Mary-Lou Manizer on top of the cheeks and tiny bit on the nose.
The star of the show is the Bourjois Velvet Rouge Edition in Grand Cru. A red matte lipstick that is incredibly rich and long-lasting- a safe bet for a party makeup look.
Can’t believe there is only few days left till Christmas, meaning that is almost the end of Blogmas. Hope you enjoyed the Blogmas here as much as I did.
What kind of makup look do you usually go for during the party season?
