November Favourites

A good hair conditioner does not need cost an arm and a leg to deliver a quality. And this recent find from Dove absolutely proves that. It took me by surprise though, when I squeezed the tube it came out in two colours, this was what they meant with “dual action formulation”-duh! It is perfect for dry hair and leaves it incredibly soft and shiny. A great bargain for a conditioner that is less than a fiver.

I usually don’t go for matchy matchy scents but currently I am loving the combination of this Shea Body Mist from Body Shop together with the body lotion after shower. It smells really nice and not really overpowering but distinct enough and the smell lasts quite sometime when combined with the body lotion. Couldn’t think of anything better than smelling nutty during winter.

I have mentioned earlier that my skin gets really dry during autumn/winter and it can get pretty tiring in terms of dealing it. When I spotted a good deal on the Clinique Purifying Cleansing Brush, I didn’t hesitate for a bit. I could already see some difference on my skin within 2 weeks- no dry patches, smaller looking pores and super soft skin. The one thing I didn’t like about it that it doesn’t come with a plug but a USB cable, which I find it a bit weird, but was not major downside for me.

Having dry skin brings of course different foundation needs, compared to what I use during the summer. I went back to my all time favourite drug store foundation ever, L’Oreal True Match Foundation. The formula is between dewy and matte, light-to medium coverage, blends so perfectly either with a brush or a sponge and leaving a “your skin but better” finish. However I find it a bit ironic that it is not really the perfect match, you need to work it with the other shades, but when you get it right it is oh-so perfect.

To add little bit of glow and radiance to my skin, I mix The Body Shop Radiant Highlighter with my foundation. There are those days no matter what you do you just look dull-ugh and my ultimate quick fix for that is this cream highlighter, whether you apply it on the areas you want or just quickly mix it with your foundation-an absolute favourite!

The Balm Mary-Lou Manizer Highlighter was a love at first sight and is the best powder highlighter in my humble opinion. I have reviewed it here recently, and now I absolutely understand what the hype is all about. It has immediately become my go-to highlighter, be it for a night look or for a “no-makeup” day.

Another all around favourite of mine has to be this eye shadow palette of The Balm- Meet Matt(e) Nude, you can read my detailed review here. If you are into matte and nude shades, this palette is absolutely worth the money. As it contains natural colour of shades, I always reach out for this palette more than anything. Oh and the packaging… I absolutely love love love this guy!
