Autumnal Nails : 5 Favourites

autumn-nails, essie-polish, essence-thermo-nail-polish

I like bright, colourful nails all year around but when it is autumn I seem to wear a certain pattern of colour. Here are my reoccurring five favourites that I can’t get enough of wearing this season.

Essence Hello Autumn Beauti-Fall Red is an absolute addiction of mine. Not because it is an interesting one as it changes colour as the temperature changes, but because it is a really nice burned red with slight brown undertones. It seems like this kind of colour is my autumn obsession- I am always looking out for things to try in this colour at the beauty department. If you are struck by the fact that it is a thermo nail polish, you can read my detailed review here.

Essie Russian Roulette is a classic red with slight orange undertones thus it makes it quite vibrant on the nails. If you want to start building your nail polish collection you should definitely consider adding this classic red for a fierce feminine look. Easy to wear any time of the year, but I especially like wearing this colour during autumn/ winter.

Essie Eternal OptimistΒ is something that I always go for if I want some break from the reds and the nudes. It is such a pretty colour- a warm, earthy pink that is absolutely suitable for any kind of occasion, be it a professional one or a casual one. An absolute favourite of mine!

If you are not into the red nails, no need to frown, the nudes are everywhere this season. If you consider wearing a nail polish that is clean, neat and just nude, I just adore this one from UNE. The formula and the wide brush is a lot like Essie. It is quite long lasting as well, more long lasting than Essie if I may add. I was looking for the perfect nude for a while and when I found this one all I can say is, this is contentment!

Can a nail polish be bold yet subtle at the same time? Confused, right? Well, it can be if it is the Blanc from Essie. Snowy white nails was the look that I slightly over killed during the last summer and it seems like I am not going to give up on it easily just because it is getting cold and dark here. White nails are simply elegant and this one from Essie is everything I need to add some “colour” to my upcoming all black outfits.

What are your favourites for the season?

  • I love orange, wine, and black…. i may or may not venture to other colors like purple, but I usually gravitate towards the first three..

    • You totally reminded me that I used wear some more purples and definitely black too. I always liked the look of it! πŸ™‚
